My first knitting project!

This past January I was fortunate to be able to attend VogueKnittingLive in New York City. I was the guest of Laduma who is a well known designer in South Africa. While I was there I met so many kind people. It was also fun to meet some of my social media crochet friends that I had never met in person. Some of the ladies at the event took time to teach me how to knit. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but I gave it a try and made my very first knit project- a cabled scarf. I did add a crochet border too! I’m looking forward to learning more knitting techniques. Crocheting is still my first love though. I’m much faster at it but with practice I hope to improve my speed with knitting.
